*For her concerts, Carmen plays castanets handmade by the master Victor Galiano.

A renowned Castanet Virtuoso, her mathematical precision, combined with her technical artistry, has elevated her to Spain's "eminence" of the castanets.  Distinguished as a world class, master castanet player before arriving to the United States, Professor de Vicente has made it her passion and dedication to elevate the castanet, as a solo concert instrument, to a level never before known in the world’s great concert halls.
